These rules are intended to promote consistent use of the Just for Geniuses brand. This makes it easier for people to instantly recognize references to the Just for Geniuses and prevents consumer confusion. These guidelines also help protect our company’s trademarks.

We dedicate substantial resources to the development and protection of our intellectual property. We enforce our rights against people and entities who misuse our trademarks.

Sometimes you may need to refer to Just for Geniuses to discuss it or to describe your products or services as they relate to Just for Geniuses. When mentioning the brand name, please refer to the General Guidelines below.

General Guidelines

  1. When the brand is mentioned alone, it should be:
    • Example: Just for Geniuses
    • "Just" and "Geniuses" are written with initial caps, but "for" is lowercase.
    • Italicized (optional)
  2. When the brand is mentioned in conjunction with a specific product, it should be:
    • Example: Texting While Driving for Geniuses
    • "for" is written lowercase.
    • Italicized (optional)
    • Only actual Just for Geniuses titles can be mentioned. Do not invent new Just for Geniuses titles. If you wish to suggest or request a new title, please submit it here.
  3. Display the brand name in same font size and style as the content surrounding it (except for italics)
  4. Display a trademark symbol (™) the first time or the most prominent time.
  5. Include this attribution in your communication whenever you refer to the brand: Just for Geniuses and For Geniuses are a trademark of Westlake Gavin Publishers LLC.
  6. Never substitute the brand logo and brand assets for the brand name.
  7. When displaying Just for Geniuses brand assets, only official brand assets can be used.
  8. Do not abbreviate the brand name or use it as a verb.
  9. Do not use Just for Geniuses brand in a way that implies partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.
  10. Do not use trademarks, names, domain names, logos or other content that imitates or could be confused with Just for Geniuses.
  11. Do not copy or imitate Just for Geniuses trade dress (distinctive color combinations, typography, or graphic designs.)
  12. Do not present Just for Geniuses in a way that makes it the most distinctive or prominent feature of what you’re creating.
  13. Do not feature Just for Geniuses on materials associated with pornography, illegal activities, or other materials that violate the Just for Geniuses terms of use.
  14. Do not modify Just for Geniuses brand assets in any way, such as by changing the design or color.


At this time, Just for Geniuses brand assets are only permitted on official merchandise available through:

Guidelines for Performances

  • Performance includes any visual or audible medium (whether recorded or not.) Example of this includes but is not limited to: TV, Films, Plays, and online video (e.g., YouTube.)
  • All General Guidelines apply.
  • The point of the Performance is not to promote another brand. For example: a TV or radio commercial using Just for Geniuses to promote a consumer product is not allowed. However, a character in a TV show can be shown reading Texting While Driving for Geniuses (if you obtain permission as instructed below.)
  • Only existing Just for Geniuses products and titles can be used and they must be purchased through our authorized sellers.

If your Performance does not meet any of the above criteria, you will need to obtain a license instead.

If your Performance meets all the above criteria, please email the following to (including attachments.)
  • Complete synopsis of the entire Performance.
  • Script excerpt of the segment that references Just for Geniuses.
  • A recording of the segment of the Performance that references Just for Geniuses.
  • Certified English translation (for any non-English portions.)
